Trespass Stockport

104/104 Merseyway Shopping Centre, Mersey Square, Stockport SK1 1QN, UK – 0161 480 1956

I would like to provide feedback to the salesperson who served me on Saturday in Stockport branch of Trespass. I was wanting a padded down jacket, the first assistant just pointed at one jacket and said that’s all they had. The male assistant went out of his way to collect a range of jackets for me to try, he told me the benefits of the jackets and then left me to try them on. He wasn’t pushy but was extremely helpful. I bought a more expensive than I intended as he was well informed about the jackets, which gave me confidence to buy. I think his name was Toni but can’t be sure. If I had just gone on the female assistant I would have walked out without buying anything. He is a credit to the store and I hope he receives this feedback.

Go Outdoors bikes were recommended to me. And I'd recommend them too. I bought a Mondraker Phase - the same bike a friend had bought. Steve and the staff have been excellent. Helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. 6 week service done. Great bike.

very helpful staff. Huge variety of outdoors walking boots and camping stuff.

H T Hughes & Co

91 Hardcastle Rd, Stockport, Manchester SK3 9DE, UK – 0161 480 2545

Have never bought uniform online before as I usually like to feel it before making a decision, thought I would give it a go and used these guys. Great experience through the order process, always kept in the loop and the finished products (11 jackets) are brilliant quality and have perfect embroidery. Am about to place my second order. Keep up the good work guys!

I purchased various items of workwear (PPE, shirts, holdall) with custom embroidery of name and company logo. Their website is easy to navigate and also the emails/phone calls during the ordering was first class. Already I have a small list of additional items I which will be placed next week. Thanks!

Halfords - Stockport Store

2 Manchester Rd, Stockport SK4 1TN, UK – 0161 476 7530

I've been here many times since moving to the area about 10 years ago. It used to be pretty terrible in the past when I had been in there to pick up cleaning gear for my car etc. Had a few times in the past where there were no staff on the tills or around the store etc. Seems to have greatly improved over the years though and all the recent times I have been in,I have been approached by staff asking if I needed any help (maybe I look like a shoplifter haha!!) and there has always been someone on the till. I have found that the staff in the cycling store upstairs are especially helpful and will even walk the length of the store to come and ask me if I need any help. The prices are ok,yes some of the stuff you can probably find cheaper online- but I prefer to buy from a store whenever I can as it helps keep people in jobs and you can return faulty items or ask questions face-to-face which is always nice. Bought a nice cycling helmet from here recently, they have a big display of the helmets out to try and then new ones in boxes underneath. Tried loads on and found one that was perfect.

Had so so much to choose from... But I gave a 4star cos the one thing I wanted, they couldn't get for me... Unfortunately, can't order a mat for an '05 benz..

Decathlon Stockport

George's Rd, Stockport SK4 1DN, UK – 0161 476 9600

Decathlon is ace. Stocks clothing and equipment for most popular sports you can think of. Also has camping equipment, toys and holiday goodies. Great place to stock up on essentials. Prices are also pretty great, their own brand stuff is excellent value for money.

Great store with great products for every activity one could imagine. If possible try and visit during the week and not the weekend when the store is very busy and over run with kids. Decathlon's own brand "Quechua" offers excellent value for money as opposed to some of the higher priced mainstream brands. Personally I always purchase Quechua products and they have never failed in use or disappointed to date. Just one point to be aware of, when purchasing clothing make sure you try before you purchase, as some of the sizing tends to be on the "small side" of the claimed size.
